Not only, it contains a lot of pre-historic secrets that we never know, but the mix culture, people, history make it one of the most recent place to visit. Its unique characteristics make Malacca to be very well- known among foreigner. And of course Portuguese people. Their remnants still exist in the heart of Malacca people.

Back in the old days, Malacca are highly respected for their glory, Now, Malacca is still respected for their historic remains. Because of the revolution that keep happened in Malacca, we can still see old building and left behind the infamous A'Famosa. If you guys having a holiday in Malacca, be sure to visit this places and explore Malacca as it is a very beautiful city and their never-ending uniqueness.

As, Malaysia gain its 55th Independence Day, everything has followed along with the changes around the world. But, I'm proud to say that Malaysia are still preserved our cultures, customs, historical places to make sure we will remember our ancestors fight before. And so does Malacca who had not change what their city is all about. Although technologies gave a big impact to our country, Malaysia are not flattered with it instead make use of it to make Malaysia to be well-know throughout the whole world. And that is what happened to Malacca as well.

I think that's all for today. I'll make sure to continuing posting about other historical places.

THE REVOLUTION OF MALACCA

MALAYSIA : THEN AND NOW

Salam to all  :)

Lets continue my previous entry now....

MALACCA
Under Sultan Mansur Shah (1456-1477), Malacca's fame and wealth does not last long after getting attention from the expansionist Europeans with the Portuguese becoming the first to arrive and eventually going on to conquer Malacca land. All the activities were led by Alfonso d'Albuquerque. The Portuguese, who arrived in 1509, were at first welcomed as trading partners, but then expelled when their designs on the country became apparent.

The Portuguese returned two years later, seized the city and try to turn the city into impregnable fortress, bristling with seventy cannon and equipped with all the latest anti-siege war technologies. However, these proved insufficient to keep out the Dutch, who starved the city into submission in 1641 after a six month siege.

When Holland was overrun by the French in the Napoleonic wars, the Dutch Prince of Orange ordered all his overseas possession to surrender to the Great Britain. After the wars ended, the British handed Malacca back to the Dutch. Shortly afterwards the British managed to regain the city back by swapping one of their Sumantran colonies for it. Apart from a brief tenure by the Japanese during WW2, the city stayed in British hand until Malaysia declared independence in 1957.

That all for now..  Salam and Thank you for reading :)
